Wot sort of difference is their if you strip out the rear interior on the FRST? I know paul r has done it. Has anyone done it? Wots it like any gains?

Not alot if all you strip out is rear seats/quarter panel trims etc as these don't weight all that much anyway. - makes the road noise a lot worse though..

Lose EVERYTHING you don't need from the front seats back, fit a pair of lightweight bucket seats and harnesses and then you'll notice a difference - the whole lot weighs in at around 40-50kg I think which is a good body worth of weight :)

And don't forget to dump the spare, spare mounting bracket and toolkit. That little lot should save you 15 to 20 kgs. Well... just try to find out if its legal there first.

Making your car go "on a diet" its one of the best tuning mods because:
a) its free
b) it will improve every aspect of the cars performance
The only drawback will the the comfort loss, but I guess we can all live with that

Funny enough it did make a huge difference, and you could feel it!
Seems to even brake better and doesn't suffer so much squat on launch.

I have ditched my spare wheel, sound deadening and now thinking of ditching my back seats etc...etc...

it all adds up.....and that sound deadening crap is heavy!!!
