Strut Brace Thickness

Postby Jam0r on Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:05 pm

Looking to install a rear strut brace on my MK4 Fiesta

I have a number of options, either going with OMP (dont know the thickness) or Fusion Fabrication (38mm, 51mm, 64mm)

Now the car is stripped and I want to keep the weight saving theme so what im asking is will I notice a difference between strut brace thickness?

The car is lowered on coilovers.

well the thicker one will be stiffer because it cant move about as much as the thinner ones
wether youll notice it or not is up to how you drive the car

What you want to know is the thickness of the wall of tube not the diameter of the tube
Now driving a 1999 Audi S3 with 2.1 20v OD HTAGT3582r Turbo

Bring on the 650+Bhp 4x4 monster
