my xr2i already has a lower strut brace fitted(i think), its held on my four bolts, try a srcappy and have a look, because the holes might already be there for it to fit on. i think other sporty fiestas might have them too.

I have Sparco front and rear strut braces (upper) and i believe they have made a huge difference in the handling of my car

joel_winders :so can i just get an upper front one and a rear one ?
Yes, you could just get a front one - you dont have to get a rear one....but it would stiffen things up.

Max M4X WW :Thats an ARB!
No it's a brace that goes between the bottoms of the wishbones. The ARB is a peculiar set up on the Fez at it uses arms that attach to the shock body.
A front upper strut brace is a good mod to add and you will notice the additional torsional rigidity it provides
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

What's unusual about ARB's mounting to the shock??? As Mr Oranoco says, the XR2i S-shaped crossmember you talk about bolts underneath the car to prevent flex on the underside between the lower arm carriers. Expect to pay 10-20 quid for one of these, and up to 35-40 quid for the front ARB. You will need the correct shocks (with the ARB and brake line retainer mounts) to use an anti-roll bar.
