sub and amp not working

i have just installed my sony xlopd sub and kenwood 1000w amp. i have run all the cables e.t.c and i am not getting no power to the amp becuae of the light no being on on the amp.

Also when i plug in my remote lead into my sony xlpod head unit it switchs it off and it wont let you do anything with it at all.

help would be appreicated

check the fuse in the amp
At least i dont drive a saxo!!

Get a bit of wire and bridge from the amps 12v+ input to the remote terminal. If the amp switches on it's a headunit problem.

If it doesn't, it's an amp problem or the new wiring.

Right your best bet is to re-do the earth cable from the amp to the car, sand as much of the paint off as possible and then come back :)

all sorted now chaps, it was the in line fuse that blown, replaced with a new one all sorted
