sub connections

Postby matt188 on Mon Apr 16, 2007 9:45 pm

im getting this sub - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FLI-TRAP-12-ACTIV ... dZViewItem

my headunit does not have preouts so im getting a line level converter - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FLI-Line-Level-Co ... dZViewItem

i want to keep the rear speakers but i need to connect the line converter to
them, can i still use the speakers? can i just tap off from the speaker cable?
or does this mean i cant use the rear speakers?

also are the items i have chosen ok? i have upgraded front speakers and
probably will for the rear after getting the subwoofer sorted out.

thanks

easiest thing to do is to get a stereo with the outputs - you can tape off them so you can still have the rear speakers but it may lower the power of them - or you could run your sub off the amp and if it is a 4 channel amp, you can run the rear speakers from the amp.
