RCA's from rca output on the back of the head unit to amp, red power cable from battery to '+' on the amp- this should have a fuse in it. black earth cable from a suitable earth- i use the earth for the rear lights as it has a good clean contact. blue remote wire from back of the headunit to the amp and then speaker wires set up accordingly.
hope that may be of some help
cheers

if you have bought a decent wiring kit then the fuse will be closer to one terminal than the other, so the terminal with the fuse the closest must be fitted the battery end

Hey,

I wired a subby and amp up a few months back.

All that was mentioned before is correct but il tell how I did it anyway :P

(in a mk4 fez). Theres a rubber gaiter looking thing on the right side of the engine bay at the back, I pierced this to feed the power cable through from battery + (this leads down behind the glove box). If you remove the panel in the glove box and you have thin weedy hands (my mate did this part for me :P), then you can grab the cable from the inside and pull it down so you can route it behind the dash etc.

Earth was with the lights in the boot, good solid earth there.

RCA cables ofcourse behind the stereo. With the remote cable, on my kenwood headunit the amp didnt work with the remote wire attached to the remote wire on the back of the headunit, so the remote cable from the amp is connected to a red live wire on the back of the headunit and it all works fine.

Took a day or so work but as long as everything is fused ok and you have solid earth and power connections you should have no trouble

to be honest i dont think it really matters but mine is at the back of the sub box for now but as i have a false floor i run the earth from the rear lights under that.

I've got a Mutant deal on at the moment if anyone is interested?

Basically the same as pictured but they have changed the design of the box and amp.

£90.00 if you collect

reason is because it was the first package i saw. with sub amp and wireing kit.

and it was under £100 ( by a penny ).

and there quite good for the price as you said.

kool mate...we sell LOADS at work...

have a question for you...would you have gone for something twice the price which included everything but would have sounded tens times better?

as said before...PLEASE do not take this as a grilling im asking you because most of my customers after a breif chat would prefer to buy something a bit better and something that they can move car to car - although it would cost more...while some other sales people i know would rather make money and just sell anything and everything without giving proper advice into what they are buying and the technical side of things behind what is being discussed...

yea definatley, but was a bit low on cash, could of saved but also wanted the boot space, like if i was to buy a 15" or twin 12" i would of lost the space.

yould of got something more expensive if had the cash at the time, but im really pleased with the one ove got.
