I'd like to fit a sunstrip that fades from solid black to nothing to my windscreen (mk3.5) How do I go about working around the rear view mirror? I know someone that would put it on for a few quid, but I think they would have trouble working around the mirror. How have you guys done it,apart from paying megabucks to have it done properly

Take the mirror off the window, clean up gunky crap and window, stick on sunstrip, then use some double sided adhesive foam or sommat and stick mirror back on, .........WALLAAAAAAA Job done!:bonkers:

alternatively you could buy some gold rimmed gradient tinted aviater sunglesses... marginally cheaper, less effort.. and FAR motr classier.....

Mullet optional.

You're goin about it the wring way; the way it's done proffesionally is to stick it on the outside, [ERRR] even if you take the mirror off there's still a black square bit that'll show through. Also it could bubble and look $hit!

Sunstrips go on the outside. I wouldn't go for a graduated one personally, but then that's just me. How about a nice silver-reflective strip of window tinting film - any window tinting company can sell you the film or even do the jobbidge for you.

Anyone know if you can get graduated ones that stick on the outside? Anyone got any pictures of an ash black (or the other dark colour) Mk3.5 si with a solid sunstrip to help me make up my mind
The sunglasses idea sounds very stylish,I could pretend i was in Top Gun "I feel the need, the need for speed"
