hi

i have recently got a blue ka fitted with a fiesta rs turbo engine, running 0fab, it came with rolling road print outs of 187bhp 202 ft lbs, there was no boost gauge i te car so i fitted one today and its holding 14-15psi but it still runing blues?

when the car was set up it was advised an injector clean before the superchip conversion!

how ever i always assumed the max on blues was 170!!!

im wondering if there any visual differences between the 165 and 195 chip? i always assumed the 195 HAD to run with uprated injectors ( eg 701's), so i m thinking its either a 165 chip an inflated figures or a 195 chip running blues?

what is the boost limit for the 165 and 195 etc?

the ka goes like a rocket, its booked in for a set up and rolling road tune on the 13th march at interpro in bristol i have jus bought a set of beiges and was thinking about upgrading to an msd stage 2 chip if this was only a 165 chip

any info

If you have standard Fiesta RS Turbo Weber blue injectors in there and standard fuel pressure with no nitrous oxide, 187bhp is either made up, or has come from one of the many inaccurate rolling roads around the country. It may sound snobbish, but the number of cars we've seen through the door with inflated power claims after a power run on one of the "trusted" rolling road manufacturers' dyno's is quite staggering/concerning, so these elevated claims are quite normal. Graph or not. I trust figures that have come from Dyna Pack and Dyno Dynamics when it comes to chassis dynamometers.

If you're booked in at Interpro, does that mean I needn't try to keep a slot open for your set-up now? If not, I'll get my rubber out!
