Surround Sound Wiring Help.
Need some help from anyone with a finger in the home DVD/cinema pie please.
I have a fairly basic set up, but I wanna know if I can get it all to use the same surround sound speakers and if so how.
I have a 27" LG TV, 2 scart sockets and various other plugs and outputs.
I intend to connect the tv via scart to an LG DVD player.
The DVD player has an inbuilt 5.1 decoder and outputs for all 5 speakers and subwoofer.
I think I am right in that connecting the TV via scart to the DVD player, I wont get any sound output through the surround speakers. Unless Im actually using/watching the DVD player?
I also wanna know if there is anyway I can hook my PS2 up to take advantage of the surround speakers too.
I know it all sounds a bit confusing but if anyone can give advise I'd appreciate it
Many thanks, Guy.

I have my tv linked to the dvd\surround sound unit with a scart output to the tv and a rca sytle input from the tv back so I can listen to the tv through the aux input, my old ps2 also connects to the tv via scart then plays the sound back through in the same way.
