Stay well away from G-MAX!!!!!

Why not try a softer spring rate instead?

My reply precisely. You have coilovers, so you can make them feel however you want them to feel. I suggest you have a look and find out what spring rate you have, front and rear, call Dampertech in Yorkshire, say what you've found with your current ride feel, and go from there. They'll help you select a suitable spring rate, and they'll be about £80 for a set of four new, softer springs.

My reply differs to wildheart's a bit, as I ran a Gmax Supersport suspension kit on mine, -35mm, and loved it to the end :) It now lives on on rsmcelroy's car!

Putting G-Max on a wheelie bin is a crime. They should be in it :x

Cheap and nasty rubbish to be avoided like dipping your knackers into a piranha tank at feeding time.

G-Max shocks on my 2.0 Fiesta Si seemed fine and it felt no different to my ERST when that had Konis on it

Craking spring platforms, I need say no more. I've seen it on several sets myself and I know others have seen it and know a few traders (at least one on here) who refuse to sell the kit because of this.

I've had a couple of sets, guaranted they were on Sierra's and I also waxoiled the spring platforms before I put them on, but I do that with any shockers that I fit. Never had any problems on either set, and drove the first set very hard for at least 3 years and 40,000 with no problems, before I sold the car. The car is still going now and I know he still has the same shockers on. So maybe the waxoil is the way forward.

i'd heard good things from spax mate, dont know how their prices relate to gmax though

my 'gmax' appear to be fine. cant see what all the fuss is.
mind, not 100% sure mine are gmax, there's no stickers on them. any tell tale signs of particular brands?

SPAX kit is about £40 dearer than the G-Poop so there really isn't an excuse for fitting cheap and nasty suspension to your car.

SPAX are also German TUV approved which should give an indication to th equality of what you are buying
