I have put much thought into this and come up with the following formula:
t (₣) = √m² c / Φ * X
m = mm you lower your car
t = time your shocks will last
c = how cool it will look
Φ = the validity of this question
X = the X-factor of which only Simon Cowell knows the answer. This could also be considered as j as this is an unknown number therfore should be dealt with an an imaginary number.
So in summary, this is mute point. You can go as low as you want and/or is physically possible, however you have to ask why an FRST is a mere 25mm lower than your average cooking model and not slammed 300mm below sea level.

I was thinking this and also I assume xr2 lowering springs willl fit onto mk3.5 shocks and therefore I assume -35mm xr2 springs will drop a mk3.5 lx by -60. Am I right?

One of my fave setups for the Fiesta is new standard dampers and 25-30mm lowering springs. It's when people put lowered springs on old shocks problems occur. Ian Howell also used to rate this setup for up to 200bhp so that must tell you something.
imho most after market shocks are overdamped.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
