swapping shocks querie

got a 1991 H reg mk3 s fiesta with shocks and lowering springs is it possible to put them on a 1995 M reg mk3.5 1.8lx diesel fiesta. or is there a major difference i know there isnt with the brakes but i dont wanna go to all the trouble of trying to swap them over and it not fitting.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

been asked on here loads! no they won't because mk3 and mk3.5 shocks are different in diameter.

what about if i placed the mk3 springs on my mk3.5 struts. is it the struts that are to wide/thin to fit in the hub thingys or are the springs wider/thinner too.

the springs will fit on both mk3 and mk3.5, the shocks won't.

thank you mate nice pic of a red fiesta used to have one untill brake hose decided to burst, n send me t-boning a single decker bus at 40.
think il have to get the pics up of that crash just finished it that weekend too.
gutted now i lose my no claims [ERRR] 5 ppl on the bus claimed whiplash.
Dont ask how but i hit sumat 10 times heavier on the front wheel i come out fine from a car with no front drivers side doin 40 n a bus doin 5mph which i just bounced off 5 ppl get carted off to hospital. lol as you can imagine im still reminded of it by my mates singing the wheels on the bus go round n round indistinguished ruffians

mk 3 shocks are 2 mm thiner than mk 3.5 cuz i have a mk3.5 with mk 3 shocks that dont fit. but the rears are the same. fancy swaping hubs?
