SX model - lowered at standard?

Postby tp on Mon May 30, 2005 9:50 pm

Hi

I know that the SX comes with a sport suspension... But does that mean it's lowered too.. If it's the case how much?

Thanks

Well the 'SX' is meant to be the 'executive' version of the 'S' according to what someone on here told me once.

Quite what that means I dont know, but I guess it meant it came with the usual S package plus all the optional extras like remote tailgate release and all that jazz

I've seen a couple and it looked just like the 'S', same spot lamps and black spoilers...

Fiesta S had a sportier engine and trim (uhhm, by 1989 standards). The SX badge means it's an "S" but when they designed it they put an "X" through the list of sporty features it would get - engine, interior, brakes, yada yada :D

The SX came in 1.1 and 1.3. Had XR2i suspension, sunroof, spoiler etc. Wider steel wheels, woo hoo. . The engine is not faster or any different to the 1.3 or 1.1 LX.

The 'S' is nothin to do with the SX. The S is a 1.6 and the engine is from the old mk2 XR2. Ford had many of these old engines and the mk3 shell had just been released in 89. These engines were placed in the mk3 and called an S. But with No sporty interior or suspension. All it came with was fog lamps and a few extra's.
Its a good way of an old XR2 reshelled basically without XR2 insurance. Group 7-8.

It had a bit more than that mate. I think it was lowered and it certainly had front ventilated brakes. Also had the electric demister front window and electric side windows. Or mine did anyhow :)

And it was group 9
