t25 hybrid

Postby mattlawrence10 on Thu Jun 22, 2006 3:30 pm

My car is currently running 174bhp at 12PSI, and its running the following mods

T2 turbo
Phase 0 super chip
Piper Cam
Magnex System
Samcos
AP Clutch
Performance Leads

I have a T25 hybrid turbo and wondering what performance upgrade i would be looking at in conjunction with a pace intercooler?

Have you got the pace intercooler fitted already? or running 12psi on a standard one? to be honest I wouldnt even run 12psi on a pace cooler if you mean one of the double capacity ones, let alone anymore boost.

I had my T25 running at 14psi, anything over a 175bhp and you should be in the market for a 195 chip and beige injectors or you can kiss good bye to your engine.

Have you read the tuning guide on the main site?

???????????????????????
You can get about 160bhp just from a chip alone?

My engine has head the head rebuit and all gaskets have been replaced. A cam was added, along with a magnex system and a KN panel filter. When the car was in this form it was running standard boost and was producing 155Bhp. I had the car rolling roaded at a very well known company so this is a true figure.

I then fitted samco boost hoses, and magnecor leads and the car ran better than before. I wanted a bit of chatter so i replaced the panal filter with a kn57i induction kit, pleased with lovely chatter I continued to spend money on the car.

My next mod was a superchip, the car was taken to the same company who had carried out all of the otherwork on the car. The chip was fitted and the car produced 175Bhp, the car get a hit of about 12 to 13psi then drops to 10psi. I have had this done for about 4 months now and it is running just as well as it ever has.

I have obviously upgraded the brakes and the suspension has been treated to a full koni kit. My friend purchased a t2hynrid he has had it for 3months and wants to change so i am getting it for a very resonable price and thought this would improve some characteristics of the car, when doing this I was going to replace the original intercooler with ever a front mount or double capacity cooler, am I mad????? I thought this was normal and I have not had any problems

The double capacity coolers are useless, save your pennys and get a decent front mount one.

The chip you have at the moment just raises the boost limit, If you are increasing the boost you need the fueling to match it, else you will have detonation. So once you get over the 12psi mark you really need to go for the next chip and higher flow injectors.

Its depends what your plans are really, if you fit the T25 are you going to run more than 12-13psi
