Would this be hard to implement Ade? I already user this on other phpbb based forums (even zsoc site supports it!) and it's an incredibly useful app.

Comes in two parts, there's a module to install into phpbb that enables the service, then there's a client app that runs on your smartphone. Basically gives you a consistent, mobilised version of the forums. If you visit XDA-developers they have an "official XDA app" for android that is essentially a single-purposed version of tapatalk.

See http://www.tapatalk.com/. Costs are dealt with at the client end (mobile user buys app - but only on certain platforms).

How usuable is it with XDA, I've added it to my list, but haven't used it much. I'm asking cause they have so many categories, does it take a while to load (on a 3g connection)

I've just set it up on Kent Modified. Took less than 3 minutes to install it and get it listed. Its just a case of copying a folder to the forum root, adding a line into the overall_footer.html of the current theme, then listing it on Tapatalks website. Job done!
