Well....Exhaust is the next big thing. Got to cut and weld it all, once that is done I can go about tidying everything up and getting the tracking re-done.

Tidying up includes getting the door welded and sprayed, skirts sprayed and bonnet sprayed. Door cards on.

Bout it for a bit really, then I can look towards the bigger picture for FF and get the I/C fitted and get the power up!!! :D

hopefully get it into the bodyshop before FF and get everything Ive ever wanted done to it :D

Rob

Git

Erm, well the first plan for the exhuast didnt work so thats the reason it didnt reach FiTP...

I'm going to book it into a professional exhaust centre next month when I can afford it and get them to make me up a de-cat pipe that will fit the S/S Zaust I have.

I have got a few updates that I was keeping secret for FiTP but I will update the thread once I've got the exhaust done. The car is running advance so I need to sort that and also sort the throttle cable position.

One day it will be ready

argh you gimp!

was going to do a nice big update in a couple of days with the mirrors back on and what not

ah well! :P

Yes the car is now exhausted!!

It is still running a bit rough and needs a good old tune and clearout but all is looking well for the future!

I am now on the look out for a decent Derv mechanic to give me a hand! :D

It does doesnt it. I had already had the down pipe shortened but as the downpipe doesnt run the same route as the fiesta it wouldnt line up with the s/s exhaust I had.

so what he decided was the best route was to remove the front box, put in a flexi section and an angled piece of pipe.

not the prettiest I agree but does the job....paid £80

Unfortunately they were sold out of ready made conversion downpipes

It has been professionally welded and converted to the xr2i stainless mid section.

Why the sarcasm??

This was 'professionally welded' in my front garage using cut up pieces of old exhaust.

To be frank....

It was taken to a Professional exhaust specialist and was fitted professionaly.

It may look untidy but no way is it a bodge. It does the job just how adam wanted it too

It would have been a bodge if i welded it :)

TBH TBF IMO

Agreed with Ghost and Excursion, it's a bit of a bodge job, but some places would've pulled your pants down for more than £80 for a job like that :) Looks good on the underside, that shell :)

Wooooahh whats going on here then

Like I said originally it is a little bit bodge and could have been done a bit better but the main reason it was dont the way it was is that if the cat went, I could just replace the down pipe with the cat on.

Much easier for me to get a down pipe re-welded then to get the whole lot done. And I would also imagine cheaper!

cheers Nmm.....

Right I have pretty much lost interest in the car for a while, not alot needs doing but I havent got the go to get it done.

List of what to do :-

Get it to a garage to get it running right,
Fit a new FMIC,
Modify front bumper,
Get to garage to get the boost and fueling up and rolling roaded.
Get a small plate welded on the passenger sill,
MOT, TAX it!

little bits that need doing like find leccy window motors and get them in then put on the door cards on. Finish fixing the dash to the car and sort the heating out

erm then its bodyshop time!

Heeman, the car is in pretty damn good shape, which does lead me to believe the 50'000 miles on the car when bought could be genuine and not been round the clock! Like i say the only prob on the car is the hole in the sill at the back where someone clearly tried to jack it up and failed

I tell a lie I have been buying a few bits for the car......

Tyres next week? Add "suspension springs" to that list

It does look like a low mileage car dude. Mine was on 53,000 when I got it, absolutely spanking, back in 2001, and we both know the diesels weathered far better than their petrol counterparts :) Mine developed a hole in the NSR sill two years back....hopefully I'll do the right thing and get the shell completely minted through in the coming year so it can be as sexy as yours ;)

 Its on Avo's :P

Mine....sexy

Yea once I've got the cash then I'll get it in the bodyshop for its make over and probably new sills while I am there! I don't know what makes the diesel's weather better but your right they do for some completely random reason!

Thinking about it, it does need a fair bit doing to it to get it to what I want but at the moment I'm liking having money in my pocket

Not particularly liking the cossie's!

Think the 7.5's looks about right without any arches and with the small skirts etc, rarer in 16" as well really!

IMO anyway!

Well I had an epiphany yesterday morning!

I'm not going to spend the cash on the tyres, I'm going to spend it on getting it on the road!

Going down to fords on Monday to get a few bits and to see what their hourly labour is to get it running proper!!

So in a bit I will start updating the post a bit more regularly, as long as i can get it running right and there is nothing majorly wrong with the engine then the car will get its MOT and see the road again! For the first time since November last year!!! Hopefully before September!! :D

Whoooo the fez is in me once again! :D

Right after plenty of agro and lack of ability and proffesionals willing to help me. The car is going to go for another transformation. It is going petrol!!!

Turbo that is

So I am officially keeping it off the road, instead of trying to get it back. Going to sort it the way I want it and take things slowly!

the look will stay the same but the engine will finally be going....well....one day

So thats it for a long while, until I get bits and pieces together as money allows!

cheers guys!
