Can anyone recommend one max £400

I've been considering the Falcon Predator EVO4+ Pager Alarm but i don't think its thatcham approved

Quick note, i am thinking right that the alarm been approved = lower insurance

ive got a full clifford concept alarm with remote start for sale!

its been removed from a fiesta so is very very easy to reinstall if you are handy with a wiring diagram and solder, then all you would have to do is pay about £20 to have the system checked and a certificate issued, or failing that around £75 to have it fitted and approved.

An approved alarm will give often lower insurance quotes or lower excess but it also provides alot more piece of mind that you are not leaving a car that is not well protected.

The only prob with remote start is insurance companies dont like it as if it is stolen with it activated then the insurance becomes invalid in some cases.....

the alarm for sale is here.....

yeah i've heard a lot of good things about the G5 series, remote start would be nice, but i can see why insurance companies like to steer clear if it render the alarm useless

it doesnt render the insurance useless if wired in correctly so that if the ignition is turned on without the brake being pressed the alarm cuts the engine and disables everything.

Its a very clever system actually and works really well, only some get funny about it.

I got my Clifford 650 G5 system fitted for £350 with the blackjaxx and proxy sensor, getting remote start added soon - been quoted £120 so if you are doing both together should be close to your £400 fitted by an approved company so still giving cheap insurance. (Insurance companies usually want to see your installation certificate)
