That is so rusty man! I dont know if this site would be of any help, but it has a few prices for panels etc for the old fez mk3

I thought mine was bad this week after taking off front bumper to be met with two fist sized craters of rust underneath it, to go along with the rest along the bottom of my doors and rear arches!!!

Keep it going mate it will be a little stunner when you finish her and you can say that you did it, with a hugh smile on your face!!!

You must keep us all updated on here, love to see this when you finish it - i love to see a nice car brought make to its former glory!!

I know what you mean with the Northen approach to winter roads though cover them in salt every day

my old 1.1 fez aged about 3 years every winter :lol:

Had the same problem with my rear passenger inner panel.
Was told inner panel was so rotten, a hole the side of a football was revealed.

How many panels so far have you replaced Fezzy Turbo?
I think im up too 3 external, and 1 inner.

I know you can still get rear quarters/wings/doors/sills etc but where can you still get hold of rear inner arch panels?!

Sphinx: The panel used in my replacment was taken out of another mk3 from what ive been told.

lucasdemoley .... I have all the panels i need and ALL are Ford panels

Xr2i_Boy .... any panel you can think if is getting replaced

sphinx .... the inner rear arches are Ford, but not quite mk3. They will have to be modified.

Panels being replaced .....

Tailgate
Rear Valance
2 x Rear arches (inner)
2 x Rear quarters (mk3.5 petrol cap cover)
2 x Sills
2 x Front wings
Bonnet
Front Valance
Scuttle panel

Went round to see my car, work is underway ......

New inner arch, ready for mk3.5 petrol cap .....

New scuttle panel .... (sorry about pic!)

The other new inner arch .....

Sill and floor repairs ......

Not much original left, but still an RS shell i suppose ......

just about £2000 so far, on panels and bits and bobs .... havent paid for the paint and the wee bits the bodyshop has bought yet.

Driver side .....

Old tailgate being used as the new one doesnt quite fit, we think because it has no glass in it. You can see why i bought a new tailgate, note the rust above the wiper ....
