I'd like to point out that you are talking absolute cr&p Fezzy turbo. Look at my last post and read what I wrote. I have a turbo SPECIFIED FOR MY ENGINE (NOT AN INDY CAR) THAT CAN PRODUCE THE BOOST REQUIRED, ANDIS SPECIFIED TO THE SAME STANDARD AS THE ONES SUPPLIED TO AN INDY CAR TEAM. So do you want a plain stupid answer to your futile questioning. HIS TURBO WON'T BE THE SAME SPEC AT ALL IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM.
Why should I give my "spec" to you anyway? Did you ask politely? Well, slightly but in a "I'm the fu(kin man with me scotish mate thats got one, oh sorry not my mate some guty I met." Fez, get a life, build your car, bring it to the pod and get blown away.

Oh I've got some 1/4 mile times now.
13.2 sec, on 13" by 5" remoulds, 1300 van diff (so can't put the boot down), with screwed 3rd and 4th gears running 220hp. Can anyone beat that time?

Meu0....temper , temper. Did i hit a raw nerve ?

and WTF is a guty ??

anyway...my car is built and is running very well thanks and has just about 130k on it which means it's a very well built car. I have not put my car down for this Pod shootout as my car is not set-up for the Pod, i use it EVERYDAY so it is not built for the Pod.
I know my car has approx. 140bhp @ wheels (as rolling roaded for Fast Ford) and this does me fine for the road, i have posted pics and met a lot of people from here and the RSOC bb and they know i dont s**t about anything, especially about my car.

I think it's wonderfull you are building some kind of supercar.....but PROOF is needed i.e: pictures, MPEG's anything to back up your claims.

me0 may i point out politely that everyone on here is tuning their cars or doing their conversions on theirs cars which are used "daily" and NOT for the specific use of flying down the pod. But if u wana come on here and want to race daily-runners thats up to you. Although i do think its abit brash and kinda smug of you to say that. BTW can ANY car come to the Pod to race you or are you just limiting the race to Fords??

that speed shack mk1 escort (rover v:cool: does a quarter in about 11secs dont it???

the wacky engines anglia (cossie on 48s) does a quarter in about 13 secs.

neither of these have huge bhp but it shows that a good set up is vital when runnin quarter miles, neither of these use turbos either!

POWER ISNT EVERYTHING.

leave the arguing lets wait for the pod!

If you had read previous posts I have spoken to Adrian via e-mail and he has agreed to putting up a part on this site where pics, videos and info will be posted.

Like I said, any car can come down, but the driver must own, on the log book, the car. Oh and I will use my car pretty much everytime I drive somewhere, is that counted as daily, even if I don't drive everyday?
Nice one bruster, the kind of racin I like, bends are where there won or lost, not the straights. I'veraced fat escort cossies round by me, I ran 140hp 1.6 escort estate, on 16" wheels spax shocks and std dampers, they where on my boot on the striaght, then blown away on the bends. Makes you feel sick that someone has a car like that and looses to a wreck! But I'll meet that bet. Show me the roads and I'll be there. I can turn the boost down you know, it is programmed in.

Yes mexicotom, power ain't everything. like I said my mates got a 1000hp drag car, no set up and it spins all day long. Thats why hes setting up the drivetrain and suspension. He might be coming down too.

your saying that your 1.6 Escort estate beat a modded Escort Cossie on a twisty road  who was driving the Cossie.......the queen mum ???

I would think a not very experienced Cossie driver, who has 4x4 and 200bhp+ would easily beat a 1.6 Escort estate, which has a wheel base longer than the QE2.
My FRST with Spax springs and std shocks still handled like a bag of jelly.

But this wee trip down a twisty road sounds more like my cup of tea, just a pity you live so far away

Here we go again has to pick a fight. If you read it for what it is I was commenting on how some muppet with a cossie got whooped by a guy with an eccy estate. So wh yshould he race his car if HE can't hack the pace. Well maybe I push the limits right out, didn't see him geting it sideways trying to keep up like me, nope slow on the bends then boots it up my ass on the straights. Fu(kin hell when I drive if the baxtered ain't squealing with the back end hangin out then you ain't going nearly fast enough. jolly flip me I've been pulled by highway patrol cars that say, "jolly flip me you were going too fast for us too keep up and speed check you". And that was down dual trcks with islands, then give me a ticket for 44mph in a 30mph when I was going down my lane about to park at my house.

So you reckon you car will be capable of sustaining 155 plus from paris to copenhagen?

After fighting an noisy/bumpy twitchy mk1 escort for about 6 hours solid you reckon you'll be able to keep full focus on the twisty bits afterwards?

Would be nice to end it with a hillclimb, up a mountain in switzerland, steep inclines and hairpins.... nice way to end a 6 or so hour hards blatting..... Hope you got a nice flat torque table

I find all this racing crap, and "whos fastest in a straight line" stuff highly pathetic

I know its just my own opinion and many wont agree - but its just a bloody car!! and I think a lot of people use a fast car to hide behind cos they have no personality - its like oh I beat you so im cool - yeah right!!!?

why dont you all try getting along instead of tring to beat each other!!? I thought we were classed as "civilised" nowadays

ps I knoiw im guilty of clashing with you meo and i accept I was wrong, male ego and all that - but its about time you changed your attitude man

I understand where he *thinks* hes coming from - as the rest of the world strives to build a high compression/high boost engine he thinks hes radical in building a low compression/high power engine.

im not interested in that - as ive stated before if he can deny curent WRC teams and all current turbocharged engine development work id be the first in the queue to kiss his ass!

**innovation and idividuality rate highly in my list of things that are great **

its person to person relationships im on about

My Fessies engine conversion will shortly be completed, and i have all intentions to use it competitively at Santa Pod this year, I'll prob be there most weekends this year, and with anyluck we may come up against each other..
and if you beat me fair play.. last year I came up against loads of cars that woopped my ass including MAD Tony's Esc Cossie who has power and traction I could only dream about! But its all in good sport and is lighthearted although some take it too seriously!
I can't wait to see what the big engine FWD RS's do this year, as the Renault GT5's seem to have it down to an art (12.64 1/4 mile is one of the best i believe!!!)
i'll competing in as many events as my work/girlfriend will allow this year, and hope to show the RSOC that the Fiesta is a very fast shopping trolley!!!

OK so its not road legal? Oh and you've seen it then. Well if you had you'd have seen him drivin it about tax disc in the window, road tyres on, insurance paid. Look, I don't think you grasp what a drag car is, 1000hp ain't really all that in a drag car they run loads more, but thats cos they run special fuels. It all depends on what you want as to how you set it up. Can't be arsed to "detail" so stopping now on that part.

Bring out your car Bruster, or is this the start of the excuses rolling out from the "main competitors" that doubted my car.

Thankyou excursion for pointing that out, straight line racing is especially boring in road cars, but if thats thew challenge set be "almighty back down" sunny then thats what it is. Oh btw I'm going for low comp higher boost as I can't afford the parts to hold the pressure in, I admit it. But like I've said, we wait till the pod then bring out the excuses then if you want, and I don't want any ass kissing, I'm not here to impress, I'm here to learn and hopefully teach techniques.

Oh back to bruster, if we race for 6 hours you'll be 1000miles behind, oh and my torque table is bigger flatter and wider than you could ever imagine, one of the "trade offs" with the system.
