bridgend_boy :whats next then clark seen as you got 750 running in miles in the bag ?
well ... come end of month the Rs will be making a journey to Torque of the devil to see what bhp its producing. I haven't had it set up since the New T3 was fitted. So getting it setup and getting a power figure will be worth the money at this moment.
I have a few more things that need doing. Like the down pipe/midsection of the exhaust. It could do with replacing with a Proper stainless steel down pipe and a midsection that then joins onto it. At the moment its just a big lump welded together and rattles under the car.
If i take it to a exhaust specialist i think I'm going to be fleeced £300 plus for a custom exhaust built for the T3.
Where does the spending stop ?
It still needs a respray in my opinion with a few new panels like front wings, petrol area, front valance, Bonnet....
Lastly im thinking turning up the boost a little ... i have grown bored of 7psi on the T3
does 14 sound ok on a rebuilt cvh with stage 2 head ?

7psi
£300 is nothing for an exhaust!
Get a decent turbo back system, 2.5" bore

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - Running in
i told ya how to get over that exhaust mate.
by a good one without a stupid flexy bit for the frst (T2) then mod the T3 down pipe to suit and marry up to the exhaust.
if you must, have a stainless down pipe made.
it will solve all your problems and you can get a exhaust "off the shelf"
a bar of boost will see a good difference, but i would advise fitting the chip and injectors if thats what you plan to run.
what ever happeneds to "not wanting it to drink to much" you got the bug for power mate, been a long time coming i must say

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - Running in
i got a little bit of a power bug after seeing what a difference a new engine makes.
On a plus side there is a guy at work with a Fiesta St that keeps banging on about how fast it is.
I gave him a taster of turbo power as it is at the moment.
Left him for dust
When i said .... ''i aint tuned it yet or had it set up'' his face was a picture

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - Running in
, mate, lots of people are taken back by what power a frst has, the people not really in the know so to speak, they just think is a bit "quick" untill you race, i mean, er, show them
i had a guy where i used to work, he got a fiesta st, kept on and on about it and it would whip me as it was quicker than the FRST he had etc, i belive he said he "missed a gear" when we got back to work

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - Running in
I saw a longlife exhaust on a FRST done in Carshalton, looked like a really good job and the guy paid around £300 for the turbo back system IIRC.

sod spending another £300 on an exhaust
jay, without a flexi, the exhaust will crack over time unless you drive like a grandad

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - Running in
gav, i aint stupid, you dont know what ive been talking to clark about do ya?,im guessing you think im saying bung one in another and clamp it up, if so, your wrong.
i was in fact saying to clark to put a flange on the down pipe and then bolt it to the exhaust with the spring bolts, just like the standard T2 down pipe would connect to the exhaust.
this will give enough movement for what it needs, and do away with that dog $hit flexy

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - Run in
Rob : the mat costs around £35 to the general public
Mot passed with flying colours last week saturday. The ford guys even adjusted the Co2 sensor whilst on mot bay and got it reading what it should be ....
1500 miles done and dusted with no problems
Just got to find a day off now and take it down torque of the devil to get its rolling road setup done.
The T3 is running only 6psi atm and i know its got so much more to give.

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - Lake district
Spent the weekend up barrow in furness - cumbria.
Took the Rs up to the lake district and took in some wicked scenery as recommended by my friend from doncaster with the ninja motorbike.
Friday was very wet up there. Began raining around 11am and didn't stop till 4pm. Ruined the roads.
Getting up 25% gradient hills was something the Rs struggled with
Had to use 1st gear and absolutely floor it at some points. I know now what 4X4 is meant to be used for now !
Being up in the clouds was cool too.
A trip to domino's ended friday. Buy one get one free went down a treat
Saturdays weather was spot on ... sun sun and more sun. Roads had dried out. Caravans and tractors were a pain in the arse as i was trying to keep up with the Ninja
Some awesome roads up north. Felt like a holiday away from all the stop start traffic in london. Not a set of traffic lights to be seen for miles.... No mobile phone reception either up some parts ...
