This car has come on a treat - far cry from its former...err identity.

Those last pics remind me very much of some of the spots around here & also reminds me a lot of North Wales - I took some similar photos a few years back in the foot hills of mount snowdonia (north wales) when i first bought my new fiesta ST.

Great pics & great car,

Gareth.

cheeRS for the replies fellas :D

no i work for dagenham motors in walthamstow - billet road
rapid fit - lol

yes the dent in bonnet is a pain but a new bonnet plus spraying to match is not top priority atm. Same goes for the bubbling fuel cap area

Managed to get hold of some obsolete Fiesta universal Ford mud flaps

Image

They clamp on perfectly on the rear Rs bumper and then requires two 6mm drilled holes for 2 self tapping screws on each flap.

Image

Image

I love them :D
been after a set for ages that fit this good. Because no mud flap set was ever availible for the Rs bumpers and these fit mondeo's fiesta mk4 / mk5 and also fiesta couriers :D

Hehehe I can make an exception for Luca's BEAST of a car I guess, that thing is just the benchmark of all benchmarks! :aviator:

But as far as untouched FRST's go, this is one of the finest examples I have seen. Top work buddy.

A lot of parts that Ford sell for something as old as the Mk3 are no longer 'genuine Ford', but items from an endorsed supplier packaged in Ford boxes.

Not much of an update as not alot has happened apart from passing the 3000 miles on the new engine already !

I have finally got round to booking in the Rs with torque of the devil on tuesday 7th july for its long awaited setup with the new engine and T3 turbo. Looking to up the boost a bit too :D

Image

This happened some how a couple of weeks ago - Serves me right for buying mickey mouse ebay links. £10 for the pair they were. When compared to the Ford item costing £35 each retail ! :o
I Bit the bullet and fitted genuine links. The drop link nearly burst my tyre where it had been rubbing on full lock ! :o

Image

New front Shocks arrived for the Rs today - :D
The konis are good but are too harsh for my every day needs.

Image

New strut bearings and bolts followed suit :P
Just got to get my finger out and do it now.

Still in search for a replacement gearbox - the current box im using everyday has ruined diff bearings.
Also got to get hold of a ofab 165 chip before next tuesday :oooh:

£69 each for the shocks

i have lowering springs on my car - not sure what make or what drop they are. Going to fit them on the new shocks and see how they sit and feel.

If they dont go well together then i will have to buy some Ford standard Rs springs and go back to std ride height :(

the sticker set might be availible through a seller on ebay - thats where i got mine over a year ago
or normally at ford fair there is normally a seller selling all these reproduction stickers.

mud flaps are no longer availible from ford. it was pure luck me coming across the one set from fordpartsuk.com
