im toying with the idea of a dump valve just to trial out. Never had one or used one before and ive borrowed a samco top boost hose withthe dump valve option. Also got a Cossie cone filter to trial out too but it means relocating the dual horns
desperatly need a 165 chip to remove the boost limit. On really cold days the boost protection kicks in and spoils my fun....

Update
This happened to a tappet on friday night. Another pattern part tappet bites the dust. My engine sounded like it had no oil going to the head. I thought the oil pump had failed and was felt gutted at the time. Stripped the top end and removed all the tappets to find this.
Good news is it didnt damage the new ford camshaft, I replaced the tappets with genuine ford items and i have got no more tapping noise
Bad news is the tappets cost £24 each compared to the pattern parts costing £54 for 8.
Got myself a Dump valve as ive never had one before and i love it
Gav the butcher supplied the samco hose
I thought this pic was very artistic
Forge motorsport from burton power - £41
Got myself the 4th and final Rs turbo alloy wheel. Jayrs helped me aquire this badboy and its brand new , mint and still has a brand new unused pirelli P600 tyre from 1990 on it ! The tyre still has the little nobberly bits on it too
Made in june 1989

Ahh, I couldn't remember if they were used of new.
Will you set just be used for shows then?
Were the drilled brake disc effect wheels an optional extra, when new?

the set will be not be just for show purposes.
when im due 2 new tyres which doesnt take long with my right foot
i will fit 2 new tyres to the grooved alloys and fit them to the car to complete the set.
the drilled effect wheels were produced on the prototype fiesta turbos in 1989 and then when the car was released they came with the flat type wheels which i guess were cheaper to manufacture.

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - woooosh !
cheers chaps
so happy now i have finally got the bottom of the tapping noise. I was thinking the cylinder head could of been at fault. After replacing everything , springs, rockers, tappets , seats studs etc and in the end it was cheap tappets to blame.....
the saying is true....
you buy cheap you buy twice...

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - woooosh !
After having 2 close calls on the road i thought i would have a look at my brakes tonight ....
Over 80% worn ! nearly down to the metal. I really should of got them checked sooner.
these pads have lasted me since ford fair 2008 so that aint bad really.
the old brake discs had a slight lip on them and for my piece of mind i have replaced em
These were from burton power £74 for the pair which aint bad tbh.
Ive used standard ford motorcraft pads as i get them dirt cheap and tbh pads are pads for road use.
When was the last time you checked your brakes ??

I cant decide whether to get drilled discs or grooved discs, or either. What kind of difference do you feel and which is better out of the two?
