Re: The Recaro Fiesta
Not much of a update but more of a warning
my temperature guage was playing up on saturday . Pulled over to allow traffic to pass then went up a kerb pretty hard
After looking at the wheel a small bruise appeared on the tyre wall. The inside had split and was told by a tyre fitter it could blowout at anytime with any more knocks.
Tyre is less that 6 months old
£70 later it was replaced for another pirelli p6000
On a positive side i have obtained a brand new Ford panel from ebay
That should do the trick on the rear quarter

More Rs parts for everyone to dribble over
slighly worn Rs gearknob
How Cool is that ! Mint tape holder accessory fits so snug like it grew there
Finally ! A straight set of green mouldings. I took great care removing this with pallet wrap strapping. and i got both bumper inserts to go with them too.
Also ANOTHER set of headlight protectors

I think Jays offer is fair lol. Good luck to you if you get them sold mind. I have always thought people were mad paying more for protectors than the brand new lights would cost lol

Re: The Recaro Fiesta
the headlight protectors dont really protect they are more of a fashion accessory these days on old cars.
I agree new headlights would be cheaper
unfortunatly i decline your more than generous offer jay.

Re: The Recaro Fiesta
the only problem with having a brand new gear knob is you need a brand new steering wheel to match.
Then to add to that ... you would be scared to use them cos of the rarity. i wore out a escort gti gearknob in 18 months use on my daily use of the Rs.

Re: The Recaro Fiesta - brakes !
Dave G fsi ::o Those pads were pretty bad!
I cant decide whether to get drilled discs or grooved discs, or either. What kind of difference do you feel and which is better out of the two?
I do 5-10 track days in a summer and i use grooved ones and been happy whit them. Drilled discs might cool down bit faster, but they need to be good brand/material. Cheap ones will start to crack even in normal driving and that is not a place to save. Also the grooved ones will "eat" bit faster the brake pads.
