...and £10,400!!!
That was for the complete engine though, but considering a fully spec'd 2.1 16v Zetec Turbo costs about half that and is at least 50bhp up, spend the other 5 and you've got about 350bhp.

I can't really see how it could have cost even half that!! An absolutely mental/mint/new 2.1 16V T3 monsta with trick box weighs in at around £6-8k (or more if you're Sunny! ) but throttle bodies are not _that_ expensive. Take Fraiser's engine, some Jenvey or Webber Alpha throttle bodies (<1k), a Pectel ECU setup (£1.5k) and some head/engine blueprinting and you would have some pennies out of £3k!

depends if money is a problem or not, turbo would be cheapest, but turbos on fiestas are kinda mainstream, but a throttle bodied 1.8 Mk.3.5 fiesta that started out as a lowly 1.1 has to be something special!!!
what ever way you go will be great fun

Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.
