Throttle Bodies
As i know pretty much nothing about engine mods, i have a few questions to ask about throttle bodies.
If i was to replace the throttle bodies in my 1.25 with those from a 1.4, what sort of power increase would i be looking at?
If i was to replace the throttle bodies in my 1.25 with those from a 1.4, would i get the same sort of fuel consumption as the 1.4 because i have always related throttle bodies with v. high fuel consumption.
If anyone can answer either of these questions i will be very grateful.
Cheers.
Chris.

ahh ha dont all rush out, u need a special clip and do some skilled plastic melting and gasket making.and well u really need to get it chipped like he did or it stalls a bit,
a 90bhp one might b better for a non chipped car

Just to be clear...
Your car HAS a throttle body already
You will be replacing it with another throttle body, NOT throttle bodies i.e not throttle body conversion
It will consume more fuel if you fit the larger one

Do you know if it will consume more than a standard 1.4?

TJ - I'll let u know when i've done mine, it looks like it should bolt on ok, but ...the 2l mondy one is mounted at a different angle and so you need to make a new bracket for the accelerator cable (you'll see what i mean if u look at a mondeo, for some reason ford redesigned it so the fiesta bracket wont fit without being hacked about).
i'd guess the fuel consumption will be worse, but i might as well try it on since i got it for free

Can't see that it could consume anymore than a 1400. In theory it should consume more than a standard 1.25 and less than a standard 1.4
