throttle body converison
when converting to carbs on a 1600 zetec what is needed ignition wise etc ?

At least double the cost of a fitted 2.0, you'd need your head looking at to go this way over the bigger base engine.

The thought occurred to me this morning while looking at an HCS engine.
As the pre-cfi HCS engines had an ignition only set up with the coil pack and accosiated modules - could this be adapted to suit a zetec on carbs?
Anyone any thoughts as to why it would or wouldnt work.
Providing the Crank Sensor provided the same type of signal at the same point in the engine cycle, and the advance curve is suitable. I couldnt think of a reason it wouldnt work..
