Postby PT_FRST on Tue Sep 02, 2008 2:44 am

Hi!

During my late night daily browse trough ebay I found these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THS-H-Beam-Conrod ... dZViewItem

Does anybody know if they are any good?
Compared to what burton power ask for a set of H-beam conrods for the cvh they are very very cheap...

Regards

TBH almost all rods are made at the one place, then rebranded for each individual company, i heard these make were not the best, but definately worth the money.

i have been looking at them as well and from the knowledge i have about metallurgy the 4340 forged steel shot peened and heat treated and should result in a very very strong conrod actually i do not think that a cvh can produce enough power to destroy them. so if they do what it says on the tin they are extreme value for money.

but its a steel alloy, on aircraft they try to use more corroision resistant alloys and coatings.
like duraluminum :)
