To mount a CVH engine in my car what all is needed ??
The car is currently a Zetec, i assume i'll need new engine mounts but what else.
The RST engine is coming out of a Series 2 ERST (Mfi), what managment do i need to use to run it ? OFAB or OFAC or the ESRT management ??
What wiring loom is needed to be used also ?
cheeRS in advance guys

If you want to retain the MFI system then you would need to keep the escort management. but if you want to convert it to run OFAB/OFAC then you would need to get the inlet, injectors, loom, ECU and all corresponding sensors from an OFAB/OFAC engine and if i remember correctly there are some other smaller parts that need changing.
Gotta ask though. Why are you going to a CVH from a zetec?

the things you would need are a CVH engine mount, ofab is prefered management as it is easier to tune with aid of a chip as more boost can be run as std without an expensive remap etc....
the MFI engine can be run but would need an EFI fly wheel, a hole drilling in the block to mount the CPS by the flywheel, an EFI inlet and also an EFI to MFI inlet spacer plate so that the injectors dont fowl the head when the inlet is put on.
insidentally i have a CVH mount and also ofab management on ebay!
if you clicked the buy it now of the management i would throw in the mount and also an EFI inlet so al you would need then is the flywheel and also the spacer plate to get you going!

Re: To mount a CVH engine in my car what all is needed ??
connecting the EFI wire loom is much easier (take a compleet FRST loom) then to mod the MFI loom into the current car loom..
For EFI conversion .. the CPS hole needs to be drilled, as stated before. .. and the flywheel is needed.
The CVH enginemount is needed.. and just 1 thing needs adjustment.
The zetec engine mount, fixes about 2 inches further back.
The engine mount hole on the inner wing has to be 'moved' 2 inches to the front.
the idea .. create a slot in the front of the top inner wing fixing point. .. the one next to the struttower..
Slot a piece of 4mm thick metal in.. that sticks out about 2 inches.. ..
create a hole in that piece of metal to fin the CVH engine mount... and weld it into place (spotweld for fitment.. and fix when engine is fitted correctly)
Why 'just' 4mm thick.. cause the CVH engine mount rests on 2 holes.. the lower one on the inner wing is for vertical stability.. the one just created is for horizontal stability.. and doesn't need to be that thick.. as you fix it horizontal..
I hope you understand my croocked english :-p as it isn't my native language..
