Yes the Si is known for its lack of torque, so, how would i improve the torque on my Si

well thats the only thing I think is worthwhile because the 1600 has rediculously small valves and diffferent combustion chambers.
Actually come to think of it you'd need the 2000/1800 injectors then.
Honesty mate it isnt worth doing anything - when you've got £50 of headgasket and bolts and new injectors its jsut not wrth it.
Why dont you just put an 1800 in? Its only a days job and wil lset you back no more than £250

Yeah well i doubt i have the tech knowledge to fit it myself so it would be in a garage and theres the insurance to think of, so it will end up costing me a lot more than £250

Nicky I knew absolutely nothing about cars the first time! I brought a zetec engine to replace the 1300 HCS in a car we had.
I poo myself when the accesory belt came off because I wasnt even sure how to put it back on. I just picked it all up as I went along.
If you follow a haynes manual you could have it done ina weekend I guarantee it.

Well yeah i know quite a bit about the engine i think i know enough to fit it, just the confidence issue, ill have a go, should i just ring round scrappys for 1800's ??? and the insurance issue, how much more do you think i will have to pay ???

Well mate my insurance went up from 712 to 817 when I put the 2 litre in. That was when I was 19 with 1 years NCB

they good on mk3.5's cos they more secure innit
its just gone down to £716 a year and im 21 - so i guess its nothing brilliant but not too bad

whay am i payin £800 in a fookin 16. petrol van (I must be the only person in the worl that told the insurance company they got a more powerful engine then they have!!!!

Adrian Flux are the ones to go for they oly charged me an extra £200 for my 2.1 zetec turbo conversion so ll together im pying just under 1k!!!!!!! not bad me thinks !!!!
