Toyo Proxes Tyres ?

Postby 95 Fiesta SI on Tue Mar 22, 2005 5:08 pm

Need to get a set of new 205/40/R17 tyres and was looking at the Toyo Proxes. Anyone know if there any good i.e. grip and last ability. I dont want anything like Yokohama ones where theyve got so much grip there knackerd in 3 months. Anyone had\got a set and had any good\bad experiences ?

I had some up until last week!

I've had two sets in total, they were good for grip but I found they wore on the inside edges :( It's a known problem apparantly, and they have introduced a new design to srt this out, I'm not sure if these are available yet.

When I was looking for tyres the other week I decided against the Toyo's because they seemed too expensive, but I do recommend them in the dry/wet!

I can't really compare them to others though.... I have Uniroyal Rainsports now and they seem really really good in the wet! :Q

What sort of price are you expecting to pay?

Dont know really, cheap as possible. Might just go for some budget tyres or something and be done with it.

The top link is where I was thinking of getting them from, but got a much better deal from a mate....

I guess it depends on how easy you can find someone to fit them too!
