I have heard a couple of bad things about these tyres but i was always under the impression that they were one of the best out there.

What do you guys think of Toyo T1-R Tyres?

Toyo Proxie's are widely regarded as being one of the better tyres out there. I've always got on really well with Yokohama AVS Sport, Yokohama Parada, Continental Sport Contact 2 and Bridgestone Potenza's. Have to admit I'm thoroughly impressed with the set of Avon ZV3 I've just put on my A4. They seem nice and grippy with good feedback in the wet or dry

Amongst the worst I've used have been Marshall's and a set of Nangkang NS-1 which despite being raved about by a few people was utter pants. God knows what tyres they came from to think they were any good

I managed to find me 4 x 205/40/17s for 200quid all in, so I snapped them up, they seem pretty good to me, nice and grippy, and better than the Falken ZE512s were in the wet...

A few of my mates had the Toyo R's and suffered from sidewall flex.

If your going for Toyo's go for the S's

I love mine on the S2. Don't know what they are like for wear though as I only do about 3k miles a year in her

The Toyo R's have replaced to Toyo-S's and i have heard about sidewall flex on both. Are they using them on a track or something?

Some are and some are using them on the road only.
They have all used the S's in the past with no problems!
