first off, make sure you have the same ball joints both sides, sounds bent, but the frst has its own ball joints to other fiestas, there 10mm loner and 10mm set back and the tracking is

toe setting

allowable tolerance before resetting is required -4.0mm(toe out) to 0mm

setting adjustment, if required -2.0mm (toe out) +/- 1.0mm

nominal tolerance range
castor -1.45 0.45 to -1.15

camber -1.15 -2.30 to 0

that info any good to ya?

Cheers thanks for that i think the problem lies in the bottom arms as they have been taken from a mk3.5 fiesta hence why it drives like spork.

yeah it will throw the tracking out etc, you can use the different arms and ball joints as long as both sides are the same, sounds stupid i know but ive seen it done, even done it my self once a long time ago, then thought wtf is going on there

both sides have been changed arms and balljoints but i just cant get it setup right at all, i dont really understand why either, so i am just going to revert back to the proper arms for the frst.

its pulls all over the road to much for it to torque steer, then after about 70mph it just goes were every it feels like and gets very light.

sounds like the uj is worn or the rack is focked.
wiggle the steering wheel side to side to side without making wheels turn and see how much play you got, if you got a bit, get someone to look at the uj while you do it to see how much it moves
