TreColl's 2014 Fiesta ST-2
After finding out the Mini was dead, I was borrowing Sarah's car for a few weeks, a 142,000 1.2 fiesta!
I had been hunting around for a banger to get me to and from work and "Accidentally" got myself back looking at the new Fiesta ST.
Out of interest, I popped to my local "Think Ford" dealer to see if I could make the figures add up to be able to buy a brand new Fiesta ST-3 (a fully loaded ST-2, they just released the ST-3 spec).
I couldn't make the figures add up, but they offered me a test drive in a Molten Orange one that they had in stock (10,000 miles).
I used to love the Molten Orange colour, but I went on a dull day and wasn't so impressed with it. Not only that, but Sarah has always vetoed the colour!
I asked if they had any Panther Black or Spirit Blue ones available in the group and if they could provide specs and prices of them. They found one, at their own dealership!
I had visited on Saturday 26th July, and they had one coming into stock on Thursday 31st. It just so happened that I had parked behind it as it was the branch managers demo car. Although it wasn't clean I took a quick look around it and placed a deposit (after agreeing price etc).
Here are the stock photos they had of it... (sorry, iPad screenshots!)
So the spec of it as follows;
Ford Fiesta ST-2
Fairly basic, but enough for me. No crappy DAB or Navigation.
Picked it up about 09:30 on Thursday 31st from Guildford, popped home (30 minutes away) and arrived in Yeovil for a friends wedding at 12:30 (2hrs 34mins away...) all doing 42MPG!
After placing the deposit on Saturday, I had to very quickly hunt for a spare Ford Fair ticket and stand pass. Thankfully Wayne text me on Sunday saying he had one for the FiestaTurbo.com stand!
Saturday, it got cleaned as I had already done 300 or so miles in it! (partly in the the rain) Then it rained again!
But at 20:50 it was ready to go!
And, to finish up, a couple of photos from at Ford Fair
(My phone's new wallpaper, lol)
No plans as such at the moment, thinking about the MP215 kit from Mountune to up the power to 215PS from 185PS (200PS on overboost), but the torque increase is massive!
Couple of tiny bits to have sorted under warranty too, but overall extremely impressed with it!
Also has a FT.com sticker on the rear diffuser, but I don't have a photo of that at the moment.

So the spec of it as follows;
Ford Fiesta ST-2
- ST Style Pack (Illuminated door strips, grey alloys, red brakes)
- Convenience Pack (Keyless entry is all I've found!)
- Auto Wipers and Headlights w/ Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror

They are very nice - if Ford brought a 5dr out in the UK I'd get one for the other half. I wish they'd just bring out a limited run of 500 or so but they are frightend of loosing Focus ST sales!

Really like these, if anyone is interested you can hire/lease them very cheaply at the moment but obviously not able to do any modifications! (you may be able to Mountune it, not sure)

The lease prices are very attractive even through Ford. The Fiesta ST comes in at similar money to what we were paying on our Fiat 500.

Re: TreColl's 2014 Fiesta ST-2
Been a few weeks since it was last cleaned, and I've been up north twice in that time!
So I got the pressure washer out and some snow foam. It seems that my brother took his decent foam lance to America with him, so I've had to use the crappy Karcher one that can't be adjusted...
The second image above, you can just about make out where I've cleaned half of it...
Now all clean again!
Whilst the pressure washer was out I cleaned out front and rear patios/paving slabs...
In the process though, I've put my back out! (Whoops!)
Oh and this happened as I arrived at work today!

I didn't forget you guys, just haven't ever had time to post on multiple forums
So here is a very quick catchup! (mostly in order)
Fitted LED number plate lights (32smd modular thingys, very good)
Transferred my dash cam across (Mini 0801)
It can be seen quite clearly from the passenger seat.
But not from the drivers seat.
Had my aerial chewed by a cat or fox
So fitted a metal stubby in it's place...
Did something I always said I'd never do... (H7 4300K)
(also moved house!)
Comparison
Happy with the beam pattern, no scatter.
Had them over a year now and no problems with the law or cars flashing me. Even had Sarah driving this behind me whilst I was in another car etc.
Neglect her some more, so more filthys
Got rid of a football scuff over a weekend (by the door handle)
All gone!
Then got hit by someone at work on the Friday...
It was a parent (I work in a school), so tracked them down on the CCTV cameras
He chose to send it to a bodyshop privately, they offered to repair any other damage at just labour cost.
I had this repaired too (it had been there a year, from another car park incident!)
Still gets neglected, but cleans up well (last Friday)
Whitton Baptist Church Car Park by Rob Trehy, on Flickr
Getting bored of issues with the car though (mostly gearbox) so am looking at changing it soon, but also trying to get a mortgage (for a property in greater London [expensive!!!])

It's sold!
Part ex'd at the weekend, got a great price for it!
New car will be revealed shortly, we're surprising the in-laws at the weekend first. It does have a logbook where the previous registered keeper is "Ford Motor Company Ltd"
