TreColl's MK7 Derv Titanium!
Well today I placed a deposit on this beauty!
Its a late 2008 1.6 TDCi Titanium 3dr.
When it was originally ordered, I think almost every single optional extra box was ticked!!
It has;
- Dress up Kit (ZS Body Kit)
- Leather Pack
- A/C + E-ATC (Standard on titanium?)
- Privacy Glass
- Auto Headlights + Wipers
- Bluetooth/USB/Aux Headunit, with Voice Control
- Cruise Control (Standard on titanium)
- Keyless Entry/Start
- Powerfold mirrors
- Rear Parking Sensors
It doesn't have the 17" Zetec-S Alloys on it, but what it has I still think works with the kit tbh...
So yeah, I now own a Fiesta Turbo!!

I'm with knuckles im afraid. Looks like a spaceship inside, boring to drive and a peugeot engine
Looks kinda alright with the kit on but wheels let it down.
As long as you like it though

It aint that bad guys come on. Although Im with the majority, it seems the older I get the older the car I want. Only new(ish) Fiesta I would have is an ST.
But Im a gadget freak aswell so I like to push all the buttons on the dash Good choice that mate and would have thought it would be stupidly economical being small and diesel

Looks sweet Rob, nice one
Not a huge fan of the wheels if I'm honest, I can see them being a right pain to clean
Enjoy

i like it i think those alloys do go well with the kit.
but some 5 spoke comps would look much better
one of my neighbours has one and its a really nice smooth car to drive

Re: TreColl's MK7 Derv Titanium!
I like the mk7, especially with the ZS kit, some nicer wheels and a minor drop and it will look even sexier. I think the interior is brilliant on these as well. iirc 95hp? get it remapped and this will rise to around 115. £30 road tax and 55-60mpg and decent looks I can certainly see why you have gone for this.
Must seem a legacy away from the mk4?

RE: TreColl's MK7 Derv Titanium!
This is the earlier 90ps model, without the DPF.
Even better than that. £20 road tax and 60-70 mpg
I should get it on Thursday, but yeah, just driving for 15 minutes, then jumping back into the mk4 made me really notice the difference!! So much more refined!!

Am not a great fan of newer cars either, the newest I had was a Saab 93 (1998) that was immaculate in every way but got rid few months back and got me present car.
That said, I havseen these Fez's floating about and I can see the appeal and they are growing on me, but I think all the buttons would confuse me lol
I like it, but no, I'm not swapping

Re: TreColl's MK7 Derv Titanium!
Missed a few updates. Basically the current plan is to run this as cheaply as possible till the new Fiesta ST comes out. I want one, SOOOO bad!
It's in today for a service. Been given a 3 month old 1.4 TDCi Titanium as a courtesy car. I keep forgetting it has a key when I go to turn it off though
I got them to look at a few warranty things too.
Here's the list from above with extra comments in green
They've also told me, that the two tyres I had replaced in October are now on 2mm on the inner edge, so will get the car aligned when I get it back.
Then I will get the brake parts from my local dealer (get a trade price on them) and get them "done at a mates garage" where it'll be for the wheel refurb too, hopefully/finally!

trecoll :
- Internal Temperature Sensor buzzing I told them what the fault was, but they still felt the need to phone to me to confirm. They are trying to get the part covered by the extended warranty
- Clutch pedal squeaks in first ~10mm of travel They've lubricated the pivot point. Its a TSB.
- Gear leaver/linkage creaks coming out of 1st, 3rd or 5th They've lubricated the pivot point. Its a TSB.
- I have a squeaking from the O/S/F when turning left or at slow speed (Think this maybe due to low brake disc, but I'll get them to double check it first) Confirmed as worn disc - New discs & pads needed
- I suspect (still need to confirm!) that I have an oil leak from the intake seal on the turbocharger (Which they are now saying will be covered by the warranty) No fault found. No oil loss etc so all seems good.
- I'm getting atrocious economy now, despite my driving style/journeys not changing since I got the car... (Just filled up today and had my first tank at less than 50MPG, it was 48.8 ) They want me to see if the service improves this. (Though going by the 1.4's MPG gauge, it's probably just the way I'm driving )

I do like these. They drive nicely, i had a mk7 eco-something or other as a loan car and it was great. The new RS has the potential to be pretty good tbh

Re: TreColl's MK7 Derv Titanium!
I may well be looking for something like this in a similar spec - nice find. Yes, it would look better with 17" wheels but I'd sooner have one with all the options and fit 17" wheels later on.
The 1.6 HDi has it's issues as with all engines, most of the common ones normally get addressed under warranty. Slightly more torque than an ST as standard and the fuel economy is superb. I'm waiting to see if Mountune do a re-map for these as they've done with the MK6 Zetec S TDCi although Ford won't want a diesel that's faster the flagship petrol for the time being!!

The ECU is locked or something, so the only place that does them at the moment is RS Tuning in Leeds (AFAIK). They have to take out the ECU though, so the security bolt gets busted.

The 1.6 is a cracking engine. It's not all Peugeot is was a joint venture between Ford and PSA.
Very sweet little engine.

Rather than clogging up all the forums with the same photos, thought I'd stick a link in instead. Perfect time to plug the new site
