Re: TTF Si - Bit of an update, painted bits- wheels - 30/05/2011
New tyres came today, they didnt get fitted though, the mobile fitter let me down but hes coming at 9am tomorrow to do them, so not all is bad!
Didnt do much else today, just a few little jobs here. One thing I did do when I finished todays deeds was install the inxx gas bonnet struts.
I did make a few moe holes than needed... lol. But im sure I can sort that out at a later date At first I was in two minds about them, but I think I like them now.
Just a quick pic from my phone, will get some decent ones tomorrow.

Re: TTF Si - Update, wheels on pics 01/06/2011
Thats fair enough Jony, I didnt like them at first, but they have grown on me, plus it makes life a little easier too, because im a fat lazy wotsit
Few pics of the wheels on, oh and a couple of the spoiler, plus some camber!
If you havent seen on facebook today, I had some random kid ask too look at my car and asked if i was selling it, i said yeah £5,000 and you can have it, so he went and asked his mum for £5,000 and she said no
Anyway, back to the update of today!
The spoiler has got a slight orange peel effect going on, which I shall be honest, sucks slightly because it doesnt reflect as well as the paint work on the car, but im still happy with it which is the main thing!
Sporting the smooth euro-ish look here:
Gotta love a bit of camber! I really NEED to make some adjustable lower arms

If you go to ford fair, you dont need to be part of their club to buy them Not sure if they sell them on the website or not, might be worth a look though!

MINE! i am getting some come august! mine needs protecting its getting wear on the bolster
can i be honest again danny? i dont agree with the white wheels, i just dont think bleech white goes with the green
looking good though, some good tuck! get a rotory buffer and some t-cut on the spoiler, it should come out well
if not tak eit back off and laquer it, do it slow and build it up layer by layer and then buff it, should be shiny as they come then

They are gloss white, not bleach white lol. Your opinion is entitled of course, but get used to it because my 2 fiestas have had them wheels for years now and they will be staying for a little while yet
The only way to get rid of the orange peel is to sand it down wet with fine sand paper and polish it up. I cant be arsed though to be honest.

Re: TTF Si - back on the road - 22/06/2011
SHES BACK ON THE ROAD!
After the last update of refurbishing the wheels and painting other bits, a few more things have been done.
She went into the body shop to get the rear turret welded up, and while it was there the rear arch which was REALLY bad got sorted out. While there it went to the garage up the road for an MOT, which it failed. Nothing too bad, wheel bearing, rear cylinder and side light bulbs.
Soooo did all of that, with a misshap of the wheel bearing, but it got sorted.
Took her to the MOT test station today for a quick retest and a brake bleed because the one man bleeding kit is useless, and it was all good!
So good to be driving it again! I shall get some pics up of the recent goings on tomorrow at some point

Re: TTF Si - few pics of arch work - 28/06/2011
As I said, I would put a few pics up of the arch work that was done, so here they are! Arch got completely done, and the whole panel was resprayed too.
Before:
Not the best pic, but only one I had tbh, it was a lot worse than this when it got done.
After:
Then if you didnt see on facebook, my wheel bearing went mega funlumps up.

Re: TTF Si - brakes painted flourecent orange 4/8/2011
Sup guys. So I got bored, and wanted to do a bit of prep work for ford fair, and decided to respray the brakes in a lovely fresh coat of flourecent orange. They was this colour before but had completely faded and the brake dust had baked onto them, so this time done it properly with lacquer so hopefully they will last.
Thats it for this update lol

Re: TTF Si - 2nd rear anti-roll bar + de-cat 11/09/11
HIYA!
Update time!
A while ago I fitted a 2nd rear anti-roll bar. Which I must say is a well worth it mod! The car feels much more possitive to drive, especially around corners I even noticed that it felt smoother to drive on bumpier roads.. work that one out! Over all, good mod!
Since this picture it has been painted, this was literally when I stuck it on.
Then I went to Castle Combe yesterday for an action day, which was good! While there I picked up this de-cat pipe from a forum member.
The old cat is overed in WD40 from overspray on the joint as it wouldn't come off which is why it looks so wet and shiney. Lambda sensor whole is the other side for all you wondering.
I fitted it this morning which it now has new exhaust clamps because these ones snapped when i did them up proper tight, and yes i know my gearbox is a bit oily, which is something i will look into.
Took it for a drive and the car seems to pull harder through the whole rev range which is good the only downsides are that its a little bit raspy compared to before, and the tailpipe sticks out slightly further, but other than that, another possitive mod.
Thats it for now on updates, ill just leave a couple of pictures I took the other day when out for a random drive.

Looks good. I had a Magnex decat on mine once and it has an additional silencer where the cat was, which takes out some of the rasp. A 4 branch would make a nice difference now you have it.

They're the last of the line Mk3.5 arms which went on to be used in the Ka (Mk3.5 essentially). Using them saves boxing the pressed crap

Nah no standard bolts on the lower arms, changed them all to save hassle of undoing and sounding off the standard crappy bolts lol.
Only problem I have with the exhaust now is that it sounds blowy out out of the backbox if you know what I mean? All of the joins are sealed up good and proper and not leaking but when you listen to the backbox and give it a rev it just sounds blowy need to find out a way to solve it as I don't like it lol
