Ahh. This would be a good excuse to get rid of that hideous thing and get a nice air box back on it

jonyb4 :slam panel?
That was my original Idea, but I think it could just make the engine bay look messy because it might seem out of place. As I said, i'll leave it off for now
Tweek :Stick it on the strut brace
Didn't you stick a sticker on your strut brace? I can't put it there anyway, I like to polish it and make it look shineyyyyyyy
Minstral :dont put it on keep ppl guessing
Thats my plan for now

Ditch the banana pipe, it sucks itself closed restricting airflow.

im not sure about that, wayne/tweek claims doing that was worse for him (cant remember if he had the temp sensor issue then and if it was a standard filter or K&N or the like)
but still

Re: TTF Si 2.0 - New pics added... 29/01/12
I cleaned the car for the first time in months the other day. So I decided that night to go do some photography and snap some pictures of the car.
They are all meant to be dark and gloomy before anyone says anything, the whole idea of this was to replicate that dark and gloomy urban underground look. Hope you like!
I present to you: Project 'Underground'

Re: TTF Si 2.0 - New pics added... 29/01/12
It was the whole 'underground' look I was going for
Plus, in that car park there was literally only a handfull of lights on, and was pretty dark in there, so not having much light to work with puts you back straight away, then you have to juggle with all the settings - as I shoot mostly in manual mode although some of these final pictures was in a preset camera mode as I was experimenting with all different modes and settings for that look, but even on say Auto mode or using a long exposure for example, the whole picture gets thrown off, especially by the wheels because they are so white. If I had say silver or black wheels, or say a silver car then the pictures would look totally different
Wait until me and Chris go there for a shoot (Chris ZS on fsi) and you will see a massive difference

Re: TTF Si 2.0 - FRST Bonnet trial fitted... 05/02/12
Small update.
Got myself an RS Turbo bonnet today from Jon who I borrowed the engine crane off to do the engine conversion - as hes breaking his FRST.
It's black as you can tell by the pictures, but its only on there for a short while as a trial fit to see whether I like it.
So far, I am starting to like it. At first I wasn't really sure about it, but its slowly growing on me. I think once it gets sprayed up to match the car it will look much better.
I popped round my mums house and told her I put it on there and she said it looks smart. She used to have a black orion with some sort of body kit on it - RS kit I think - back in the day, so shes into her old skool fords which is why she likes it lol
Anyway, quick picture from my phone:
In other news, the car has done 600 miles since the engine change, only one thing has gone wrong so far which is my own fault. A power steering pipe rubbed on the camshaft pulley and slowly ate its way through the rubber and then let go when I was in Bournemouth with Chris getting a new head for his ZS. Luckily I had stuff on me to cut the pipe a little shorter and then get a jubilee clip on there.
So apart from that, its all good. Just need to give the engine bay a bloody good clean now!
So... opinions on the bonnet?

I sure don't! It was fitted within half hour of you leaving I think lol.
I quite like it now, different angles give it a different look and its slowly setting in how it looks. Once I put the splitter back on it should look even better. Will be nice when its painted Summer job for me
I know what you mean. I think perhaps the rounded bumpers suit the flat bonnet a bit more.
Once I get the splitter back on I'll get a better pic and see how it looks then

I dont think I will ever fit an rs kit. I have a kit in primer - had it since about 2008, but I dont think it will ever go on

not at all, the Si is a very good medium, cracking first car for young drivers and a perfect base for a 2.0 conversion, not to mention very good looking
