That is seriously crap. If I did that and had to rush off I would leave my details. I hate the way people don't respect other people's property! Standards in this country have definitely slipped!

the worst bit is, people seem to think a slight knock is acceptable, like people that door ya car in a car park, they think its alright with the "no harm done" attitude.
old people are the worst for that i gotta say, and there the ones that complain about youngesters having no respect
do you have a rear light danny? i got spares if you need one

Car park dents are a Bic™! I always park somewhere out the way to avoid them.
I've not got a rear light no Jay, and also no money to get one at the moment either
Going to have to put my smoked MHW's on the car until I can get one. Gayyyyyy.

I have found that too! I've had a go at them for doing that in supermarket car parks and they look at me like I've done something wrong!

i know, still, the best way to pi$$ a old person off is park in a disabled bay
years ago i had to take my mum shopping when her car was in the garage, (shes got a blue disabled parking badge) i parked in a disabled bay in the RS, and waited, it wasnt long when one (there was about 4 differen people in total) came stomping over ready to give me crap about being in the bay, and the look on there face when they got about 4 foot away and saw the badge was priceless

Cheers mate! Light is getting sorted tonight. Picking up a new one and then going to tint the reverse light like my current one is, so should look half decent again!

Re: TTF Si 2.0 - Update - Light and bumper repaired - 04/04/2012
As per new title, the light and bumper have been repaired
I spent roughly about 10 solid minutes sorting the rear bumper out yesterday. Its not 100% perfect as there are a couple of deep scratches, but they will get looked at and sorted at a later date.
All that was used was some green t-cut scratch remover and a couple of trade secrets
It came up quite nicely compared to how it looked before!
Then yesterday evening I picked up these.
They wasn't in the best of condition but I knew with a bit of elbow grease I could get them looking good. I was going to go down the route of taking off the first layer completely with either cutting compound and a DA sander or just by hand with wet and dry + soapy water. But instead I opted for the good old t-cut and some elbow grease. It paid off!
This is how they looked before I started, very scratched up, the scratches was quite deep too in some places.
And this is how they finished up. Shame about the chip under the surface, but its not highly noticeable when they are on the car.
Then I tinted the reverse light like my old lights (still wet in this picture) - I will probably get a proper LHD unit at some point so it looks more OEM.
I also replaced both lights with the ones I got so at least I have one original light not smashed up kept away safe.
And also replaced the brake pads as they was rather low.
Thats all folks!

Looks good fella, I have a German spec. standard set of rear lights if you're interested,
they were brand new when I fitted them to my track car and I took them off less than a month later, so they are in excellant condition, let me know
You had your moneys worth out of the pads as well

Re: TTF Si 2.0 - s**t update - 19/04/2012
As per title, crappy update. aka a temporaty bodge for a temporary bodge
My temporary bodge inlet pipe broke the other day... turns out K&N cold air feeds aren't made out of any type of metal/aluminium or anything, its made out of fudgekin cardboard!
So I looked high and low for the inlet pipe setup I want (pictured somewhere in this thread recently) but couldn't find one 2nd hand. Looked at making one new - too expensive at the moment.
So off to the scrappy I went to see what OEM setups there was. Ford didn't have anything, neither did any others - I thought!
Renault came to the rescue with their airbox feed. Got a couple of them for a few quid and set out butchering them up!
Heres the old pile of s**t.
Heres is the renault pipe(s)...
Got rid of the s**t from one end...
Got rid of this little tab...
Slightly too big...
So cut some more s**t off it...
Got the cut up the diy adapter off my old inlet bodge...
Stuck that s**t on there with some fudgekin 'cloth tape'
Got the downsizer from 2.0 maf to 1.6 K&N banana pipe (which is s**t btw)
Stuck some more tape on there, smashed it on the engine... didnt fudgekin work because the air pipe is like fabric and sucks air in from everywhere... popped, banged, spluttered, bogged down...
So I wraped tape around the whole fudgekin thing. That sorted it out!
Result - pulls even better than before, much harder and faster.
Cost £5 including buying new tape.
How long is it staying bodged for? Until I get a proper inlet pipe - which will hopefully be soon!
Engine bay needs a good clean too. I'll do that next week along with the rest of the car.

ill get hate mail for this im sure
but why bodge it? that £5 would have paid the postage for a actual zetec inlet pipe... weeks ago, and probably would have saved my FSI ban
it looks awful and you have shows coming up!
mind im glad none of that cardboard got sucked in, would have had bad effects on the engine

It wasn't just over an inlet pipe, it was a lot of other things. Plus everyone was getting sick of your s**t on there too
I know it looks s**t, but I dont really care at the moment as its literally just a temporary bodge until I get something made up next week. Shows.. Only going to ford fair anyway, got no money for fitp, plus I'm tracking it this year again at ford fair, because, well why not

Your opinion is your opinion It works fudgekin brilliantly! Pulls like a train now funnily enough,
Temp does mean temp indeed, the last one was temp until it broke. I had been searching everyday for an inlet pipe while it was on. This should be gone next week so all is good.
If you have been planning a custom inlet for years, I doubt it will ever get done
