alright Mike  heres an update

Bought a FRST Recaro interior courtesy of Tel. thanks very much.
Had to have it as it was a bit of a one off as the previous owner before Tel had them put headrest's in the rear seats, along with Recaro badges.

had a bit of trouble fitting the front seats to start with as Tel had put 3.5 runners on already, which i needed obviously, but lost 1 of the bolts to put the runner on to the seat. the 1 that goes in under the seat belt which is just a pain to get to. so left that one till last. then when i had time to fit it i did so, then realised the same bolt had come un done on the drivers so had to take the drivers side out again to re-fit it. in the end had to buy 2, 8mm bolts cut them down to size, and thankfully they had a spanner head so weren't to hard to fit.

i have just bought some XR2i 16v door cards as well so it all matches.

that will be it for the inerior now i should think.

I thought you had missed it, thats why i quoted myself

Looks good, really like those rear seats :Q
Didn't know they came with headrest, have they been modded for them to fit, or are they standard? :-?

Whats next?

Recaros look good, not sure if the 16v door cards will match 100% though.

Are you keeping the original standard winged seats? They were in good nick. Be nice to keep them as it was a good unmolestered car.

What a shame, not something i would do personally. Unless your completely strapped for cash

Lovely original good condition interior being sold off. What happens when you go to sell her and get offered a good price for the recaros seperately?

I would always keep the original interior incase you decide to turn her back to standard or decide to go into concourse or something.

haven't really got the space to keep it i would if i could. is it such good condition.
concourse would need a lot of attention u the rust on the sill, have just had a hole welded, the paint would need some attention as well.

not completely decided what im gon do to it. like how low to go wether to get coilovers or adjustables.
but im just putting my own stamp on the car now.

Postby Minstral on Fri Jan 02, 2009 9:26 pm

small update

i bought some XR2i 16v door cards to sort of match the FRST seats. bought them about 2-3 weeks ago now of xrsi, just couldnt be arsed to take pictures of them. they are in top condition as are the seats.

with out closely looking you cant tell that they are different, and only if you know what your talking about then you can tell.
Image
Image

comparison of the two different trims. the xr2i stounds out slightly more than the FRST
Image

Image

thats the interior sorted now. still not sure about the rears. i like them because they are different, but they may be coming out when ive sold some bits, so i have some more space in the garage.

bought some coilovers yesterday. been putting it off for a few months buying some form of setup. after going to last weeks south east ft meet, got the bug for it again. thanks to Mike as well for posting the link

they are brand new. the previous owner bought them and fitted to his track car.they were on there for 2 weeks while the car sat on his drive, said he moved it up and down the drive once and thats it. so got a bargain really

hope to get them fitted this week some time
