should be picking up 1.4si this week and want to start tuning the engine, its already got an induction kit but what other things can ido to speed i up, please give me info? :-? :-? :) :) :)

to free up a lot of power would be a De-cat pipe, but it would fail its MOT,
plus you would have to check the emissions out when you changed over.
you could put the cat back on for just that one day, but its possible that the emissions would be out again.

mate ay got a full system exhaust on it, wth de-cat pipe and Mot is in a month or two, so hope i will get it passed one way or another

ok 2l is gonna be too expensive for now, hw much would it cost for a 2l by the way?, n how much is it for act pipe to pass MOT, any other engine work??????

depends i paid 250 for mine 58k miles, so for about 400 quid u could be siting on 130bhp

What mark is it? MK4/5 / other....

I've got a modded MK4 Ghia X - so you'll be able to do the same basic mods as me.....

yeah its a 1.4 PTE... think teh loom *might* be different... best check it out before gettin an engine in then realsiing it wont plug in etc :o

Si's in the 1.4 flavour are PTE's ... i'm pretty sure...

its a mix of 8v run on 16v managment lol :rolleyes:
