If you're just intrested in the noise you can just drill the cold side of the standard airbox. Gives a nice induction roar, free's up a couple of bhp and best of all is completely free.

[ERRR] about performance then? cuz on a mk6 its really hard to get the induction kit on if u take the stardared 1 off. u have to put the pipe across the hot engine which is not good!!

Performance Ford did a test on air filter combo's and they did test the drilled air box with standard filter and did record a performance increase. To be fair the 1.4 will never be a ton of tarmac shredding metal but it should pep it up a bit.

hey mate,

could you tell me what the top speed of yours is? I too have a 1.4 mk6 and to be frank it's sh!t slow!

in the book it says it should do 104mph, mine struggles to get to 90mph?

Jesus christ i cant wait for my FRST to be finished

I had my old one touch 100 with 4 of us in the car on the way back from Newquay. (we stumbled across a private test track, honest. )

It was screaming and took about ten minutes to get there though - imo the 1.4 is no good for anything other than running around town.

The seats used to give me backache too.
