Put a bigger engine in it.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

It's a 1.1

I can see you have three options,

Get a bigger engine,
push it off a cliff (1G acceleration is quite quick),
or live with it.

no. K&N just made my backbox sound louder. unless you spend £1000's to re-bore the pistons, bigger throttle bodies and all the crap. you still dont get alot outa it... really a big waste of money. only way to go is a bigger engine.

spend your money on making it look good. then wait till your older to change the engine or get an XR2i, Si or RS. thats wot im doing.

ROLL ON MARCH!! yay!

Nothing. Short, simple and sad answer I'm afraid. Even nitrous would be completely lost, maybe bump you up to 65-70bhp with a normal kit? Not worth the money. I used to have a diesel engine in mine, still considerably quicker than the 1.1. I bought an 80 pound inducation kit for it. It sounded more interesting, and SEEMED a tiny bit livelier, but it's like trying to turn a cow into a horse. It's just not meant to be

you can get a fast road cam kit from kent cams, not sure about the price, if u measure ur dimensions of ur carb, u can get an air filter from green cotton or k&n from their universal range. match this up with an exhaust, and uprate ur brakes to rs turbo brakes and u will be able to brake later into corners which is as good as being able to go faster, id suggest strut brace to improve ur handling as well :)

On the HCS doing this requires removing the engine. If you are going to do this you may as well just put the 1.3 in as one of those from the scrappies would be a lot cheaper than a kent cam kit, and would probably provide a bigger rise in power.
