yep, here is my list :

1 buy an rs turbo engine, loom, ecu
2: fit it to your car

dont bother turbocharging yours, the cost will far outweight the gains when you can get a 1.6 cvh turbo from the factory :P

is there any differences in the rs turbo engine and the carb'd 1.6 cvh engine?

thought it would be easier than swapping engines to bolt the rs turbo stuff to the cvh

cheers

you have oil feed and return on the block, which yours doesnt have, yours is carbed, which will take a lot of work to get to work with a turbo as most cannot take positive pressure. the lower compression pistons in the turbo, and the management.
If you want to turbo yours, budget 1500-2000 for a cheap conversion, or spend half that swapping them over, and garage can swap as they bolt in dierctly

as said, getting a rs engine is easier, but you can turbo a carbed engine, im guessing from your name you want to turbo the xr2 engine, if this is the case look out for the turbo technics kit that they done for the xr2, but there not common now days and prob hard to come by.
i have full details of the xr2 turbo technics conversion on paper should you need any info

yeah no worries mate.
just bear one thing in mind, putting a turbo engine in a xr2 isnt just a stright swap, theres wiring, and of course clearance problems for the turbo down pipe if a T3 is to be used, some cutting of the front panel is needed but its easy done
