turbo conversion
Does anyone know roughly how much would it cost to convert my xr2i to a turbo?? And where would be the best place to go get it done?
I know you all prob think it would be easier to just buy a Fezzy turbo, but l like my xr2i and have spent ALOT of money on it already so am not going to give up on it quite yet
Any advice would be great

if you were to convert your existing engine, you would have to change some of the internals, Pistons, Gugedon pins etc, turbo oil return into block. You would be better getting a good FRST engine with all the bits. etc loom, ecu, piping, will cost you though if you can't put it in yourself.

I just recently converted my 2i to a frst using a donar engine and the job is fairl;y straightforward to do, but the cost of other parts such as hoses and radiator put the cost up considerably and generally all the parts the donar engine is missing are a pain to get hold of and cost top money.
Its worth it in the end though when you take it for a rag for the firts time.
