yea, thats just upping the boost......im going to do that.
but i want to know what sort of things i can do to uprate it so i can push some high power out of it.
dont want to blow the block of melt anything just by turning the boost up too high
by the looks of that site, i can basically do the same as the petrol versions. as long as i can find the stuff.
forged pistons and what not appear to be available for the audi engines so they must be out there

My Endura DE TDI made around 95bhp standard I think, at 13psi. I upped it to about 21psi with fuelling to match, and it made over 150bhp. Taking the boost to 18psi would've been a good move, probably give 130bhp+ and big torque. Any more and you're way out of the turbo's efficiency and working it too hard really, getting no additional gains. In case you thought I damaged my engine with the modifications, I didn't, that was down to an earlier issue when it ran dry (no water) at high speed for a long time without me knowing.

ah okay.....
well I take it you had an intercooler to go with the power gain??? think it was the saab one
parkers say that it is 80bhp stock....
its an endura aswell, should be the same engine that was in yours.
so turning up the boost and getting a intercooler should keep me occupied for a while.
what else can be done????

Yeah certainly, front mount intercooler, 18psi and fuel will keep you very entertained.
The pistons should really take quite a bit, the limitations past Stage 1 will be the turbo and exhaust. The problem with diesels is that past about 2,800-3,200rpm they start to pull the fuel back, and so give less power. This continues progressively till they effectively rev limit themselves. My next step was going to concern removing or adjusting this fuel limitation so I had power for longer in the rev range.
I believe the injector size could've been an issue too. Shame my explorations were brought to a halt really! I was half-way through talks with Garrett regarding a suitable turbo choice to take my engine further when it gave up, so never got to see how far the engine could be taken.

cool, will look into the intercooler properly then.
deffinatly is a shame as im interested in doing this now, be a little different and take a diesel engine further, i just dont have the engine knowledge needed. Guess im going to have to research some!

Nope, not worth doing anything at all matey, other than nitrous. There's literally no point at all apart from nitrous oxide, and on most diesel cars you'd just go TDI, not nitrous.

this site is meant for 306's, but the same stages of tuning apply to any TD really.
