You need the standard ford unit which is something like a T1.5 or go for a T2 at the most with 360 bearing for long life. Hybrids are not worth it on a 1.8 diesel as they do not have the high revs like a petrol so you need something that spins up very low down the rev range as if you get larger housings stuck on you`ll be reaching full boost 3000 rpm and it all over by 4500 when you hit the limiter, but a petrol can go at least 2000 rpm higher(7000 on mine) so we can get larger housing stuck on to overcome the restriction in the standard T2 unit and still have plenty of revs left, so smaller the better to a certain extent!!. You need to have an intercooler, or chargecooler to get decent power..
