Turbo options on my xr2tt, advice needed on page 2.

fiecos dan :A T25 is a 4 bolt flange, but is m8 bolts, and smaller flange than a T3 flange.
i've advised to use a RST turbo, with the saab ex houseing, as it will fit my car.
and i bet the 0.48 housing will be less laggy than my .86 housing i'm using at the mo.
How much power can be done with a std rst turbo with a 360 bearing?

Using .48 ex housing, all the 1.6 CVH power run graphs that I got my hand on told me that full boost is achived at near 3800rpm. Std comp, std cam, low comp or CVH35 cam did not make that much difference on spooling up as I thought it would make. Off boost driving, that is another story.
Something that can get you some drivability on low comp engine is the ignition advance when off boost, but this is achived on mapable ignition which you are not using because your goal is old school tune
The std ERST T3 can give you 180bhp no problems. Actually alot of ppl will say they have achived 200+ bhp but when going deeper into the subject you'll always see huge IC's to lower the ACT's due to the std ERST compressor working way off aceptable efficiency.
My "new" turbo is:
ERST S2
Compressor Trim50
Turbine saab 900
0.36 ex housing
Machined std ERST inlet housing to suit the new compressor
Everything else is std from garrett.
I really don't think it's needed 360 thrust bearing if the turbo rpm will not exced 130k rpm, although too boost 1bar the Trim50 will spin a little more than 130k rpm. This is my opinion that I'm going to check if its true when this turbo fails

As i'm wanting to change my XR2t's turbo.
But not sure whats the T25 i have fitted is good for.
- Std Xr2 TT turbo
T25,
t25 comp housing off of a saab, .36 comp wheel.
exhaust housing .49 off of a rover 820 ventess,
t25 centre housing, with 270' bearing.
- My T25 built by universal turbo's, as above but -
T25,
.45 comp wheel,
.64 exhaust housing from a nissan 200sx s13
T25 centre housing, with staggered piston ring, a mellott 360' bearing
Not sure of its power capabiltitys of the compressor side, nor the flow of the exhaust side,

165bhp @ wheels, at 17psi,

As you can see i've tried different engine spec's, and the turbo will produce 23 psi from 3600 rpm and hold it to 6500 rpm
But its so Laggy, i mean 15 psi @ 3500 rpm, 10psi @ 3200rpm, on the same spec as the rr figure for 6/06
I've driven RST's on T3's that are 500 - 700 rpm less laggy.
i believe the turbo to be fine for over 170bhp/wheel (210bhp/fly), but at the moment the Ex mani isholding it back, as its a poor design.
i either going to
modifie my T25 to fit a T3 RST ex mani
or
fit a T28 nissan pulser turbo to a T3 mani
or
try a T3, but dont know whats best spec for 220bhp?
