Turbo or Throttle Bodies

Postby RS_BOB on Mon Dec 12, 2005 8:49 pm

Hello there new member here, just got hold of a lovely black si with 2l conversion and have spring/summer plans for more power

so seeing [ERRR] you lot reckon - throttle bodies or turbo

car already has cossie brakes coilovers and erst gearbox with lsd

At the mo im swaying towards the turbo route as im impressed with the examples on here ( Heemans is rather nice :D ). and the fact i got 1st dibs on a T3 Stage 3 as well

Thanks for any replies

Hello go for the turbo just purley because it fun when a T3 comes on boost, although the sound of throttle boddies is quite nice but not as nice as turbo chatter :D

cheers chris

the car in question wouldnt happen to be keneth's car would it, from sheffield? description sounds close

I'd go turbo option, it's easier and cheaper to get high power out of them

im currently building a throttle bodied zetec with lairy cams ect ect, if you use bike throttle bodies and st170 manifold you can use throttle bodies on a budget, , i chose these instead of a turbo because it is easier, cheaper and more reliable,
let us know either way! :)

thats interesting idea seen kits for zetecs at around 1500-2k with management is it much cheaper going the bike and st170 route? [ERRR] type of power are you looking for?
