does any1 know if there is a website or a book that gives a detailed step by step guide of how to recon a t3 turbo??

no :(

but that sounds a bit envolved to what i was thinking!!! :oooh:

i meant just changing the oil seals and giving it a general clean up and maybe a 360o bearing..depending how hard it would be!!

erm unless u can twiddle the shaft at 100000+rpm it aint gonna be a very good recon, leave it to the pros and u aint gonna be able to fit a 360 bearing, btw the seals are the bearings..

Spk to Mark at owen developments on 01865 820582, and tell him Geoff recommended him, you`ll need to say what u want, anything wrong with it etc..

They do a collect and deliver service aswell, well they used to :P

no idea on cost..

mark sorted out my old t2 for about £200 - was about 2 years ago though. dropped it off on a tuesday picked it up on wednesday.

big lathe = 1k rpm MAX

little lathe - not 100k rpm!

no point in trying really

I reconditioned my T3. It's not hard but as some have said it wont be perfect as it will not have had the correct re-balace of the shaft and wheels.

However if all your changing is the bearings you can get away with this as the comp wheel has already been matched to the shaft, but it wont be 100% spot on.

mines run fine so far...
