infact when i think of it asking that question about making it go faster was a bit dumb. what i should have asked was, is it wise to do this:

- K&N Filter (loved it in my other car)
- Uprated Acurater (used to have one before)
- Change super chip (sounds costly)
- Any Suggestions to Cheap Alternatives for poor Student?

K&N are all good
Uprated actuator you will need if you are going to run the turbo at high boost levels than standard. Usually these come hand in hand with hybrid turbo's (uprated turbocharger)

Superchip you will need to unlock the maximum boost limit of your car, assuming you have a FRST. It rather looks like a cossie in your pic ;)
Standard boost on a FRST is 7psi and the maximum is 9psi

A chip will unlock this to higher levels.

A good stainless steel exhaust is also recommended.

And then after you made it faster, get better brakes!

ok i know its been a while since i posted this,
erm, I have a superchip in it already but on my boost meter only goes from -0.5 to 0.7ish is that right? Its is a FRST just with a cossie bumper
and T2 Garret Charger, so is that right?

Keep your Superchip, no point changing it if it isnt causing any problems.

Yeah a std FRST comes with a Garret T2 turbo.

If your running 0.5 - 0.7 your hitting 10psi now at max. Thats a nice safe limit for a std T2 ........... can go to 0.8 bar (12 psi) and be reasonably safe. You will already be running either an uprated actuator or bleedvalve.

Go with what others have said ...............

Airfilter : K&N panel or cone
Exhaust : Mongoose ....... or Magnex
Greg : Owner of a FRST for 14yrs

2009 FRS2 : 377bhp ATW / 395lb/ft :)
1990 FRST : Sold.

WHAT A FLIPPING DAY!

I went to the mechs yesterday for a service, spent 120 on bull s**t!
did not even need it, the only thing that came out of it was my mate gave me a bleedvalve cause my actuator was giving me 0.3 Bar not 0.7 not its flipping 1.2 bar need to turn it down!!! Anyway its faster now next step is exhaust, i did not know i had a K&N filter already , i thought they just came as cones!!
