You could go for a hybrid that will simply replace your T2 but will be very expensive or go for the T3 which involves a bit of hard work (there's a good how to... on here for that) but then at a later date you could replace that with a T3 hybrid :)

It is cheaper to do a T3 hybrid Conversion to a FRST than it is to fit a T2 Hybrid..

A T2 Hybrid is usually about £650 where as the T3 Stage 2 is only £400

I would go T3 personally! But it depends what you want your car to do, a T2 is low down power!

anyone know of any good garages in hertfordshire that would be able to do a t3 conversion, its certainly not the sort of thing i would try! Do i need to supply them the parts? Need it done soon as, cause the existing one is smoking.

Thanks again in advanced for all your help.

Right guys, the t2 thats on there at the mo is smoking, all im afta is a slightly better turbo, im not afta something that if i continue to add to i can get 200 or more horses. For this requirement, would a standard hybrid do?

Many thanks in advance Ross

If you want a "real" 200bhp,then a T2 hybrid will do,but you will have to sort the head, cooling and fuel pump out.

If you want a REAL 200bhp you are best of having a T3 it will flow the gasses much better and make the car pull ALOT harder..

I had 211bhp in my CVH engine and once you get to 190 odd bhp money really needs to be spent to get over 200..

I personally would go T3 hybrid,

My last eperiences of turbos on FRST's are
Standard T2
Hybrid T2
Standard T3
Hybrid Stage 2 T3 (This was the best BY FAR! and nearly the cheapest lol)

Just done this myself, I had my standard T2 rebuilt to a hybrid specification by Universal Turbo's. Cost me about £550, but that can vary as to how many parts are reuseable.

Personally if I could do it again I would do a T3 conversion as you know what it is, later down the road you'll be doing it anyway. MORE POWER!
Coming soon!!!!
